Digital X-rays allow the dentist to capture images of the teeth, bone, and tissues and record them electronically like digital photographs. The dentists can see detail better than any time in history because they can enhance the image with light and contrast allowing both the patients and dentist to discover pathology hard to see with traditional film X-rays.
